In November, along with 49 other women from all across the world, I graduated from Women on the TEDx Stage Fall 2019 led by TEDx speaker, coach, and bestselling author, Tabby Biddle. This program was intense but also game-changing and rewarding. In those 8 weeks, we worked tirelessly, completed our “ideas worth spreading,” submitted applications, worked 1:1 with Tabby, presented and received guidance from trusted advisors, etc.
Before completing the program I was nominated for the TEDxDuke 2020 Conference at Duke University and invited to interview. I was also invited to audition for TEDxNCState. Both went very well, but I was not selected as a 2020 speaker for either two due to limited availability. Both committees encouraged me to apply again this year which I hope to do!
Since January, I have been selected as a presenter for a women’s conference in July that is not TEDx-related but still an amazing opportunity! If the event is not postponed or cancelled in the coming months, I will share details once available!
I am looking forward to opportunities forthcoming, and I cannot wait to share my “idea worth spreading” with the world. I anticipate that there may be delays and possibly cancellations for upcoming events, so I am taking it one day at a time. I will continue “putting myself out there” and hoping for the best! Here’s to shifting the public conversation and cultural consciousness toward new ways of thinking and doing things.
Thanks to everyone who has inquired about how the process is going. I appreciate the support!
